Roles & Responsibilities
Electrical & Instrument
(E&I) Supervisor is overall responsible for the operability of electrical,
instrument, control and automation systems on the Work places. This includes
maintenance, updating of documentation, procedures, and
coordination/supervision of E&I vendors.
Electrical and Instrumentation
Supervisor

Check all
Electrical material codes and arrange for daily work site needs.
·
Must know
to see Draft Diagram and Designing and implementing work schedules for the
electrical staff and prepare Schedule for works.
·
Providing
motivation and assistance when necessary.
·
Inspecting
and assessing the work done by the electrical staff.
·
Reading
and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of
electrical systems.
·
Troubleshooting
major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
·
Repairing
and maintaining electrical equipment.
·
Overseeing
the purchasing and maintenance of the electrical equipment on-site.
·
Ensuring
the work is completed on schedule and to code.
·
Maintaining
a safe and clean work area.
·
Consulting
with builders, architects, and other workers on-site.
·
Follow
good housekeeping practices by keeping maintenance and tool storage area neat
and clean as well as timely cleanup of the work area after each job is
completed
·
Install
new equipment or rearranges existing equipment and Perform building and ground
maintenance also
·
co-ordinate
resources and equipment for the field tasks to conduct the work in a safe,
timely and cost effective manner
·
Provide
regular feedback to the Construction Manager/Construction Superintendent on
progress, achievements, safety and quality related issues
·
Ensure
that the standard of workmanship and the materials/equipment is compliant with
the specifications and that specified inspections and tests are conducted and
records maintained to substantiate conformance
·
Ensure
correct material, machinery, equipment and personnel are available and suitable
for completion of work
·
Assess
risks and hazards involved in tasks and methods to manage the hazards in order
to prevent incidents, injury and damage
·
Monitor
employee health and fitness and address any inconsistencies with the Site
Safety Advisor
·
Performance
of multi-skilled craft workers in the installation, repair, preventive
maintenance, removal, or adjustment of equipment or components in accordance
with established project procedures, requirements and specifications
·
Determination
of daily work schedules; coordinates the human resources, materials, and
information needed to accomplish the work consistent with efficient operation
·
Assists
in or performs interpretation of engineering drawings, work orders,
specifications and manufacturer’s technical data materials. Also assists or
performs diagnostics of equipment failures and recommends solutions
Requirements:

Proven
work experience as an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor
·
Strong
leadership and managerial skills.
·
In-depth
knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
·
Excellent
communication skills.
·
Familiarity
with state electrical and safety codes.
·
Advanced
troubleshooting skills.
·
Basic
computer skills.
·
A good
eye for detail.
·
